Pink Wednesday - China Glaze OMG Collection QT

It's pink wednesday again and I am running out of pink polishes so today I have chosen China Glaze QT from the OMG collection which is a hot plum pink holo, QT is really pretty and very bold it looks gorgeous in the sunlight.

Models Own - Beetlejuice Collection

I was so excited when my Models Own order arrived today I had to try the colors on straight away below are skittle swatches of the multichrome Models Own Bettlejuice Collection colors I will upload more swatch pics of each color in the next couple of weeks.

Essence - Hard To Resist

I really love Essence Hard To Resist it is such a gorgeous midnight blue its reminds me a little of my fav blue OPI DS Magic I was really lucky to get some sun yesterday and these swatch pics came out perfect.

I am going through a huge blue faze at the moment I'm sorry if you are all getting sick of my posts but if it make you feel better I am getting a lot of of purple polishes for xmas, so next month my post will be predominately purple lol!

Monday Mani Nail Art Challenge - Candy Coma

This week was my first ever monday mani nail art challenge and I was totally unprepared for it do not have any of the rights tools to be doing nail art but I gave it a go anyway. I really struggled with the theme candy coma I tried swirls and striped tips before I decided the only thing I could do that would look half decent was a regular candy striped mani the colors, I used are China Glaze Love Marilyn, Color Club Perfect Mol-Ten & Art Club Solid Silver.

Love Marilyn - China Glaze Eye Candy 3D Glitters Collection

Lorelei's Tiara was the only color that really jumped out at me from the new China Glaze Eye Candy Collection and I swatched it as soon as it arrived but yesterday when deciding on a base color from the monday mani nail art challenge I decided to give Love Marilyn a go I was so suprised how good this color looks I think it is the mix of silver with red glitter that makes it look a lot prettier than a normal red glitter polish. I did not use a top coat in any of these pics as I needed to use the color for my nail art base afterwards.

Chi Chi - Moondust

I found this color Chi Chi Moondust at my local target it is so pretty I have never brought Chi Chi nail polishes before but this color was too hard to resist! I had a really great trip to target yesterday I came back with six polishes four bottles of Essence color & go and two bottles of Chi Chi this is the most polishes I have ever brought from an Australian store. Moondust has a dark purple base with a mixture of blue and purple glitter I hope you like it as much as I do!

Charlie Brown Xmas Nails by Anisha!

These are not my swatches but I love them so much I had to share them with you! they are from Anisha at Naizys Nail Addiction. I challenged her to do Charlie Brown character nails because I saw her Lord Of The Rings nail art yesterday and couldn't believe how talented she is! I love everything about her charlie brown xmas nails the colors the characters and woodstock's cute reindeer horns!

Anisha does her nail art with brushes & polish no pens or acrylic paint I think it is truly awesome you should all go check out her pics and follow her blog it's one of the most exciting nail art blogs I've seen especially if you like tv/movie characters like me!

China Glaze - Colors From The Capitol

I swatched "Piggy Polish Teal It Like Is" today but can't get a decent photo of it because it's raining and all the photos I take of it indoors the color looks more like blue glitter than teal! so instead I thought I'd post some info about the new China Glaze Colors From The Capitol Collection inspired by the movie Hunger Games being released by Lionsgate in march 2012. This is the fifth China Glaze Collection that I know of that is scheduled for release in 2012 all the collections are so different from each other I really like the look of "Luxe And Lush" from the color charts below.

Sweet Peacock - Orly Birds Of A Feather

Sorry I have uploaded this post so late but I got very distracted this morning with nail art penguins the latest craze on PAA, what I discovered from this was that I am not good at free hand nail art and that I really need all the right tools, pens and paint before I give it another try. Orly Sweet Peacock is a gorgeous blue foil one of the best blue nail polishes released this year it will be great for stamping that is what I was planning on doing with this color when I painted my nails last night, It was definitely not in my plans to be adding penguin's to my mani!

Poor little guys isn't their fault I'm not good at nail art!

China Glaze Magnetix & Glitter Crackle Collections

Thanks to my friends at PAA (Polish-aholics Anonymous) I have some exciting news to share with you today about two great new collections being released next year by China Glaze. Magnetix is the first new collection and is due to be released March 2012, the second collection Crackle Glitters does not have a release date yet.

I am excited to try the new magnetix colors but as much as I love glitter I don't need any more crackle.

Shine Of The Times - Essie Luxeffects Textured Top Coat Collection

Essie's New Luxeffects Collection is hugely popular this year with Shine Of The Times being the must have from the collection, there are lots of other flakies available at the moment from Cult Nails, Nubar, Picture Polish, Nfu Oh and more personally I am dying to try the new flakie from Nails Inc, The Old Vic Collection.

I have swatched Shine Of The Times over purple, black, blue and teal nail polishes to show the effects it can create, my favourite is Shines Of The Times of the purple base but the black base stands out a lot better in the pics!

Pink Wednesday - China Glaze Bad Kitty

It's wednesday again and I have chosen an oldie but a goodie China Glaze Bad Kitty from the China Glaze Speciality Collection. Bad Kitty is a cute pink jelly base full of opalescent glitter.

Sephora By OPI Spark-tacular! Top Coat

I am absolutely in love with this nail polish it is definitely on my list of all time favourites, I had to go to four different Sephora stores in Hawaii and Las Vegas before I found this bottle hidden at the Sephora inside JC Penney at Meadows Mall Las Vegas.

Yes the Spark-tacular Top is another Deborah Lippman Happy Birthday or OPI Rainbow Connection dupe but in my opinion it is way better the glitter is lighter in color and smaller than the glitter in Rainbow Connection and if think that gives the Spark-tacular! Top Coat a much prettier end result.
