piCture pOlish Collab-Fest 2013

Hi ladies, today is collab-fest and I've got a cute little mani to show you that I did it a few weeks ago, since then I've had more breaks so if you think my nubs are short these pics they're even worse now arghhh!

I decided to try out making some polishes decals and majorly failed I couldn't manage to peel or even scrape them off the baking paper, so I tried making them on glad wrap instead and they worked perfectly I just stretched the glad wrap and the pieces of polishes popped right off then I cut out the stars with a hole punch.

The polishes I used for the stars are China Glaze OMG & QT I think they look great against Shy Violet's purple base color, I topped the mani off with Joss Quick Dry Top Coat which gave it a really glossy finish, my nail art is always super basic but I still think this mani is really cute.

Please visit the Picture Polish website for more info on purchasing any of the collab shades.

PiCture POlish - Shy Violet

It was over a year ago now when I participated in piCture pOlish Blog Fest 2012 a lot has happened since then not long after that I got a job as ground crew at the airport and pretty much stopped blogging due to fact I couldn't wear polish to work anymore.

After I started my new job I was contacted to say I was selected as one of the winners of blogfest 2012 and would be able to help create a new piCture pOlish shade which was very exciting my favorite idea for my polish was a blurple scattered holo but this didn't work out as piCture pOlish have released quite a few blue holos in the last year and it would be too similar it was suggested to me about a bright purple holo and I agreed as purple is my second favorite polish color after blue.

Shy Violet is a bright purple jelly with scatted holo flake it is very sheer my pics below are four coats with no top coat in direct sunlight I think the quality of the holo flake that Picture Polish are using has changed as you can see in my pics it just looks very silvery barely holo at all which is a pity as I remember the flakes in piCture pOlish Kyrptonite being a lot more holo than the ones in Shy Violet.

This last pic is my attempt at stamping I haven't stamped in over a year so don't laugh too hard at me it did look really pretty in real life I used Make Up Store Greta a Konad plate not sure what number and one coat of Seche Vite to top it off I think Shy Violet looks really pretty with the extra holo stamping added!

Shy Violet is available for purchase from the piCture pOlish website.

August - What's In-die Box?

What's In-die Box? is a new monthly polish box. It is an exciting new concept as it contains only Indie polishes and rather than receiving currently available polishes all the polishes in the box will be new releases so you don't have to worry about receiving a polish you already own.

Each month's What's In-die Box? will have a fun theme and will include five full size polishes from five Aussie Indie brands including Glam Polish, Peita's Polish & Lilypad Lacquer and two other Aussie Indie brands that will change each month. It will be a great way to try multiple Indie brands without paying a fortune in postage costs. Some of the polishes will even be exclusive to this box or limited edition! You do not have to subscribe to What's In-die Box?, you can just pre-order in advance for whichever box you wish to purchase.

For the August What's In-die Box? we have chosen the theme Wreck It Ralph with polishes inspired by Bad-Anon, King Candy, Vanellope Von Schweetz, Wreck It Ralph & Snowana Rainbeau. I am really excited to have Gloss n Sparkle & Sayuri nail lacquer as new contributors providing polishes for the August box.

Another advantage for Glam Polish fans since I will be assembling and posting the boxes, you are able to order additional items from my store to be shipped with your box at no extra postage cost.
