Down The Rabbit Hole - BYS Wonderland Collection

I was really psyched up to start pink wednesday this week not that I am a huge fan of pink but I have a few pink nail polishes in my collection that I have not swatched yet, this morning I was checking out all the blogs and accidentally come across this great nail polish Down The Rabbit Hole from the BYS Wonderland Collection, I normally buy all my nail polishes from the USA but today I made an exception and got this nail polish for $5 at Cosmetics Plus at my local shopping centre.

Down The Rabbit Hole is quite similar to China Glaze Cosmic it has a black jelly base with rainbow holographic glitter the base colour is quite sheer so I had to use 3 coats plus top coat, I am really impressed with this product as I normally bypass Australian Brands and go straight to the American E-tailers but I will definitely start making a better effort to swatch more Australian Brands.

Designer... De Better! OPI Muppets Holiday Collection 2011

Designer... De Better is from the new OPI Muppets Collection it is a silver foil that almost looks champagne coloured because of it's pink & gold flecks, I am really into foil nail polishes at the moment and have swatched a few other colours already this month, Designer... De Better is really pretty I can't wait do something konad stamping with it in coming weeks.

Nail Bliss - Bling Nail Appliques

There are so many great varieties of Nail Applique's strips and stickers available in the USA, Incoco, Sephora, Sally Hansen etc. Nail Bling have overs 20 different designs available for your fingernails & toes  I picked up a few packs while I was away but will definitely be ordering some more online.

You get 18pcs per pack and can use them on their own, over nail polish or they are also great for making your own cute designs, today I have just tried out a couple of my own designs with Girle Things over Nails Inc Connaught Square once again I am sorry for the poor quality of these photos, I will be posting more photos of the other Bling Nail Applique designs in coming weeks.

Connaught Square - Nails Inc. Special Effects 3D Glitter

I had never heard of Nails Inc before I saw their display stand at Sephora they have some really cool colours & sets available, Connaught Square is gorgeous and really caught my eye I apologise for the quality of my photographs, my camera isn't great and it was really hard to good photos that showed off the different colours of glitter.

Danni - Zoya Intimate Collection Spring 2011

Zoya nail polishes are not as readily available in beauty supply stores as some of the other major brands so "Danni" was the only Zoya colour I managed to purchase while I was away.

Danni is a pretty purple shimmer it is a lot more girly than the colours I would normally wear, the formula was great I used 2 coats plus top coat in these images.

Rock Solid - Orly Mineral FX Collection

As you probably know by now I am addicted to all things holographic so I when I saw the colour wheel swatch of Orly Rock Solid at a Sally Beauty Supply in Las Vegas I could not resist, this was the only colour from the new Orly Mineral FX collection that really stood out to me.

Rock Solid is a dark grey/charcoal base with rainbow holographic glitter that looks gorgeous in the sun, this nail polish is gritty and leaves an uneven finish it was very difficult to photograph so that you could see all the pieces of holographic glitter.

Twinkle Lights - China Glaze Let It Snow Holiday Collection 2011

This is the first in a series of posts I will be doing on colours from this years Winter/Holiday Collections, coming soon will be more colours from OPI Muppets Collection, China Glaze Eye Candy 3D Glitters, Essie Luxeffects & much more!

Twinkle Lights is a mixture of gold, red & green glitter in a clear base it is very sparkly, the formula is not gluggy and is very easy to work with as much as I like this colour I'm not a huge fan of gold nail polishes I prefer a lot of the rainbow and 3D glitter colours that have been released in other holiday collections, Twinkle Lights can be purchased separately or as part of one of the China Glaze xmas gifts sets.

Waikiki Surf - Island Girl

I was quite impressed by all the "Island Girl" nail polish colours available at the ABC stores in Las Vegas & Hawaii, I nearly drove my husband insane by testing out all the colours on him, not to mention they don't have a bottle of nail polish remover siting next to the nail polish display stand ABC stores like they do at Sephora or other beauty stores.

Waikiki Surf is gorgeous a turquoise green frost it applies easily but the formula is quite streaky as you can see in my photos below.

Confetti - Piggy Polish

Ulta Beauty has a great range of Piggy Polish nail polishes in stock and I couldn't resist buying a couple this nail polish colour "Confetti"is a Fuschia Purple with fine multi coloured pieces of bar glitter.

The consistency of the nail polish was very thick and hard to spread evenly I think I will add some nail polish thinner to the formula before I use it again, this colour was really pretty but hard to photograph, the colour of the nail polish in direct sunlight photo is more accurate the colour of the nail polish taken in the shade but the photo in the shade shows off the array of multi coloured glitter a lot better!

Essie Luxeffects - Textured Top Coats

Just a quick post today, Essie's new holiday textured top coats collection "Luxeffects" has just been released in the USA.

A couple of the top coats look quite interesting especially "As Gold As It Gets" & "Shine of The Times" and a couple of the top coats look quite similar to some of the colours from the China Glaze speciality colours glitter's collection, I think I will have try a few these top coats out when I receive them, stay tuned for more pics to come.

DS Magic - OPI Designer Series

DS Magic is fantastic colour it is a gorgeous sapphire blue with an amazing sparkle, my photos will just not do this colour justice the sparkle is phenomenal!
I will adding this colour to my list of favourite blue nail polishes of all time if you love blue YOU NEED THIS NAIL POLISH!

Disco Dolls - Nicole By OPI Kardashian Kolor Collection

I picked up a couple of bottles of the new Nicole By OPI Kardashian Kolor Collection while I was away I love glitter nail polishes and this colour Disco Dolls is very pretty the base colour is very similar to China Glaze Cracked Medallion but I am just not in love with this nail polish the consistency is quite thick and the Nicole By OPI nail polishes have a quite a chunky brush which I'm definitely not a fan of, I would wear this colour for a day or two but after that I would be a bit bored and need something a bit brighter!

As you probably know by now I am addicted to all things holographic and couldn't resist adding a coat of DS Classic from the OPI Designer Series over this colour it definitely brightens it up a bit!

Naughty Is The New Nice - Sephora By OPI Holiday 2011 Collection

I am loving foil colours at the moment and this is definitely one of my favourites, Naughty Is The New Nice from the Sephora By OPI Holiday 2011 Collection, I purchased this colour at the Sephora store at Scottsdale Fashion Square near Phoenix AZ.

I also found the perfect match to layer over this colour, DS Sapphire from The OPI Designer Series is a Silver Holographic nail polish with a hint of blue, it turns Naughty Is The New Nice from a pretty blue foil to a one of the most perfect blue holographic nail polishes ever!

I will be swatching DS Sapphire separately but there is no sun today so I will have to wait for some better weather before I can swatch my OPI Designer Series Colours.

My USA Nail Polish Haul!

It's been a week now since I got back from the USA, I have desperately been wanting to swatch all the new colours I brought but have been super busy the last week and had to get to my nails done before I could start swatching, I brought some awesome colours while I was away lots of Holographics & Glitters and some really great finds only available in the USA.

Pictured above are some of the nail polishes I brought on my trip I will be trying to swatch them all over the next few weeks, I was in nail polish heaven while I was away some of the brands I purchased were Sephora by OPI, Nicole by OPI, Nails Inc London, Piggy Polish, Zoya, Island Girl, Sinful Colours, Sally Hansen, ibd, OPI  Designer Series as well as the usual OPI, Essie, Orly & China Glaze.

China Glaze Eye Candy 3D Glitters Collection!

I am so excited about the new Marilyn Monroe inspired China Glaze Eye Candy 3D Glitters collection that has been released in the USA this week, I only wish it could have been released while I was in the USA ten days ago so I wouldn't have to wait the extra couple of weeks to have it shipped to me.

This has to be the most exciting China Glaze collection this year I love Glitters so I think I will probably end up with all of these colours but I am most in love with Lorelei's Tiara I think it is the must have of the collection!
